Veneers
Veneers are custom-made shells that are attached to the front surface of your teeth and improve their overall appearance. Veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth. If you’re unhappy with your smile and want to address several cosmetic or structural problems such as misaligned, chipped, stained or worn front teeth, then you may want to consider dental veneers.
Benefits of veneers
- Natural appearance
- Gum tissue accepts porcelain and composite
- Highly stain resistant
- Colour can be selected to match your desired shade
What are the veneers made of?
Being made of resin composite or porcelain materials, they resist stain marks and imitate the light reflecting properties of your natural teeth. Sometimes a single veneer is placed to hide a dark tooth or to repair a broken front tooth.
Preparation and Placement appointment: at the preparation appointment, we trim a thin layer of enamel from the surface and biting edges of the teeth to make room for the veneers. We attach them using a powerful multi-layer bonding system and then make fine adjustments to the veneers if necessary. We then give them a final polish, check your bite and reveal your new smile.
Aftercare: it is advisable to have good dental health prior to treatment. Dental veneers do not require special care, however, it is important to follow good oral hygiene such as brushing, flossing, and rinsing properly with mouthwash.
